Update: Right tackle Mike McGlinchey has been ruled out with a calf injury, along with Ward. The 49ers are dealing with numerous injuries ahead of next week's matchup against Kansas City.
The San Francisco 49ers lost yet another defensive starter against the Falcons, with top cornerback Charvarius Ward questionable to return with a groin injury.
Soft-tissue injuries are difficult to judge by video, but Ward is unlikely to return to the game, according to the Pro Football Docs. He is also unlikely to make it back for next week's matchup against the Chiefs.
The injury leaves San Francisco down three starting cornerbacks, with Emmanuel Moseley gone with a torn ACL and Jason Verrett still rehabbing his torn ACL.
Star edge rusher Nick Bosa was inactive for the game with a groin injury and Samson Ebukam appeared to suffer a mild right knee MCL sprain in the first quarter.
Starting defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw is on IR with a knee injury and fellow defensive tackle Arik Armstead is out a few weeks with a foot injury.
