JuJu Smith-Schuster was the Chiefs second-leading receiver with 933 yards behind all-pro tight end Travis Kelce.
But the former Steelers wide receiver hasn’t been able to get going in the playoffs. He’s only caught three passes for 36 yards .
Smith-Schuster appeared to suffer a left knee injury early in the third quarter and did not finish the game.
He returned briefly in the third quarter, but was unable to finish the game. His injury was not immediately clear by video.
Smith-Schuster reportedly had a difficult time walking up stairs postgame. But with two weeks of rest, Smith-Schuster should be ready to play in Super Bowl LVII.
Former Giants wideout Kadarius Toney is one of the most explosive players in the NFL, but in his short career he’s suffered a plethora of injuries. Last weekend he left the AFC Championship game with a left ankle injury.
By video, Toney suffered an inversion – basketball type – left ankle sprain on his second catch of the game in the first quarter.
Toney did not return to action after going out with the left ankle injury and hasn’t practiced this week, in potentially because of a hamstring injury as well.
Given the extra week of recovery before Super Bowl LVII, Toney has a great chance to suit up for the Chiefs third Super Bowl in four seasons.
But Toney relies on speed and quick change of direction, which could be limited if he plays with his ankle taped.
Hardman played for the first time since Week 9 but reportedly reaggravated his pelvis injury on an 11-yard catch early in the third quarter.
The Chiefs deep threat did not return to the game and has not practiced this week.
It is unlikely that Hardman will have enough time to heal and be effective for Super Bowl LVII. Core muscle injuries are difficult for wide receivers to play through with all the twisting required at the position.
Hardman had 2 catches for 10 yards on 3 targets before the injury.
The Eagles are favored by 1.5 points and the over/under is 50.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
