Chris Carson Misses Practice Wednesday With Neck Issue, May Miss Game Against Rams

Chris Carson, the Seahawks running back, did not practice Tuesday or Wednesday with a neck issue. Admittedly, it is a short week where stars often rest before the Thursday night game. However, this is a recurring issue for Carson as he was listed on the injury report for his neck in Week 1. Carson practiced full that week and hadn't missed practice or game time until now. During a news conference Wednesday, Pete Carroll referred to Carson's injury an ongoing issue. There's no indication the injury is season-ending. However, given the short week we think it is likely he ends up resting or at least yielding a lot of the touches to fifth-year running back Alex Collins. Second-stringer Rashaad Penny is already an injury reserve with a calf issue. Carson's issue does not seem to be serious, but we would not be surprised to see him take the week off to be healthy for Week 6.
