Chris Carson suffered a hip fracture and his season is over. This is why they may indeed sign Marshawn Lynch. Carson's injury is significant but good news is that his hip did not dislocate. He likely has an acetabular rim fracture that may or may not need surgery. This injury is not as severe as originally thought but this is certainly something that is season ending and something we’ll watch going forward. If the Seahawks sign Lynch, they're likely going to need to sign another back as well. How great of shape is Lynch in? It may be tough to acclimate back to the NFL rigors, and he runs a high risk of muscle strain injury. We will monitor as the week progresses.
