Chris Godwin fractured his left index finger on a touchdown catch Sunday and had surgery on it today. The reports are he is likely to miss this week and return to play Week 9. Depending on the stability of the fracture and operative fixation, it is not impossible for him to tape it up and play this week. However if the fracture is in many pieces his absence could be a lot longer than one week. It’s yet to be seen how long he’ll be out, but we expect Godwin to return sooner rather than later.
