Chris Godwin Misses Second Straight Practice After Bye Week, Foot Injury Will Likely Keep Him Out Week 10

The level of concern for Buccaneers wideout Chris Godwin is rising as he has not missed practice for a second straight day. Coming off a bye week, it is especially concerning that he has not been able to return to the field. ProFootballDoc staff have reviewed game film from Week 8 and there does not appear to be a specific play or traumatic incident. Head coach Bruce Ariens spoke on Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown Thursday, giving meaningful updates, but did not speak about Godwin.

All of this adds to the concern that he seems set to miss at least the Week 10 contest against Washington. If indeed this injury is an accumulation/stress injury, the No. 1 worry would be for a fifth metatarsal stress fracture, as many wide receivers have had. We are not saying this is definitely what it is, but there is some worry/concern and we hope that this will not end up being the case.
