By in-game video we didn’t see any significant right ankle injury other than being clipped as he dove into the end zone. It was late in the fourth quarter and McCaffrey did not return, but Adam Schefter has now reported that McCaffrey is out multiple weeks. At this point we have nothing else to go on but of course we'll go back and look at existing game film and await all-22 coaches film and further information as it becomes available. He taped up the ankle on the sideline to test it out but did not come back into the game. Without McCaffrey the Panthers offense will take a huge blow, as the backs behind him are Mike Davis and Trenton Cannon, neither of whom has logged over 4.0 ypc on their career. Davis had some success with the Seahawks back in 2018, and will likely take over as lead back with Cannon filling in as a 3rd down back.
