Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers star running back, left the game early in the third quarter after slamming his head on the ground on a tackle. He went to the blue medical tent after the play for a concussion evaluation.
Update
McCaffrey returned to the game after presumably passing the concussion evaluation. He was seen stretching his right leg on the sideline, but we think that may have just been a cramp. After the game, head coach Matt Rhule said the spotter buzzed down for McCaffrey to be checked for a concussion. Rhule said McCaffrey passed the concussion protocol and did not reaggravate his hamstring injury.
