Christian McCaffrey, the Panthers star running back, has been designated to return from injured reserve. This opens up his three-week practice window and means he can be activated at any point ahead of the game. Depending on he responds in practice, don't expect to hear much about McCaffrey unless head coach Matt Rhule elects to provide an update. There is no requirement to issue a practice injury report for anyone who is technically still on injured reserve. From a medical standpoint, his hamstring issue should be behind him, but the team may exhibit some caution in his first game back. We expect McCaffrey to be ready to go this week versus the Patriots.
