We have expressed the utmost confidence that Christian McCaffrey would return to play in Week 14 after the bye after suffering a shoulder AC Joint injury, and that remains the case. However now comes word that last week while working out on his own he "tweaked" his quad, and there are reports that it tightened up on him at practice on Wednesday. Given this new development, and how protective the Panthers have been of their star, we think it is now highly unlikely for McCaffrey to play this week, which will be a huge disappointment for fantasy managers heading into the playoffs. The team has exercised the utmost caution in handling McCaffrey's ankle, shoulder and now quad issues. We don't see them playing him at less than 100% this week, and the possibility he gets shut down for the season has now come into play.
