The Clippers got their ninth win of the month on Tuesday night with a 127-116 victory over the Lakers, but guard Paul George revealed after the game he has been dealing with a groin injury that he reaggravated on Sunday against Brooklyn.
"It was something that re-aggravated from last game. Just trying to be ahead of it. Little sore, but I was fine enough to lace it up and give a go tonight," the 33-year-old told reporters Tuesday night.
George finished with 17 points on 8 of 12 shooting in 29 minutes. He also added 3 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds, but turned over the ball 4 times.
His groin reaggravation is likely minor since he was able to play Tuesday, but the team will limit his minutes to avoid further aggravating the injury.
Expect him to sit out one half of the upcoming Friday/Saturday back-to-back on the road against Toronto and Boston, respectively.
George is averaging 23.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 46.8/41.9/91.1 splits in 40 games this season.
