Update: Westbrook played 18 minutes in Monday's 133-116 loss to the Indiana Pacers. He finished with 14 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds off the bench while shooting 50% from the field and 0-2 from 3-point range.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook is set to return Monday against the Pacers from a fractured finger he suffered on his left hand in early March.
His quick return fits analysis from our Pro Basketball Docs that surgery would speed up his recovery timeline.
Westbrook missed just over three weeks after suffering the finger fracture while reaching in for a steal on March 1 against the Wizards.
The Clippers went 6-6 without him in the lineup and sit in fourth place in the Western Conference at 44-26.
Westbrook is averaging 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 22.6 minutes.
