The Seahawks’ tight end suffered bad news two years in a row. He has had another break to the same fifth metatarsal in his foot that he suffered last year resulting in surgery. A second break in the same location is never good news. Head Coach Pete Carroll tried to spin it positively as he typically does, however a rebrand means surgery again and likely removal of the screw. The best case scenario is that he starts the season on injured reserve and comes back for the second half of the season. If a bone graft is needed it could be even longer than that, but it’s not good news for the former Stanford tight end about ready to break out after a great camp.
