Colt McCoy Injury: Cardinals QB Suffers Head Injury vs. Denver

Update: McCoy has been ruled out with a concussion, likely knocking him out for next week's matchup against Tampa Bay. Beachum has returned to the game.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy appeared to suffer a head injury early in the third quarter against the Broncos.

By video, McCoy took a knee to the back of his helmet on a 1-yard rush with just under 14 minutes left.

He remained down on the field, then got up and jogged to the locker room for evaluation.

Trace McSorley has replaced him at quarterback.

On the same play, right tackle Kelvin Beachum appeared to suffer a right knee MCL sprain.

Beachum has been replaced by Cody Ford.

The 33-year-old tackle was the only player to start every game this season for either team in the matchup.

Arizona lost Kyler Murray to a torn ACL in his right knee last week against the Rams.

The Cardinals face Tampa Bay on Christmas next week.
