Colts LG Quenton Nelson Suffers Right Ankle Injury, Unlikely to Return

Quenton Nelson, the Colts left guard, left the game in the second quarter with a right leg injury. By video, Nelson was rolled up on from behind while he was engaged in a block. With limited angles, he appeared to suffer a right ankle injury, possibly a high ankle sprain. The veteran left guard entered the game at less than 100% as he works his way back from right foot surgery. The good news is the injury is on the same side so it won't hamper both leg. Nelson was carted to the locker room and is questionable to return. It will be hard for him to return to the game.

Update

Nelson has been ruled out for the game. After the game, Nelson was confirmed to have a high ankle sprain. X-rays were negative, but it will be tough for him to play next week and there is potential for a short IR stint.
