The Colts' offense took a hit on Friday after all-pro left guard Quenton Nelson and 7-year veteran right guard Mark Glowinksi were placed on the COVID-19/reserve list, leaving them out for their Christmas Day bout with the Cardinals.
The pair join 3-time pro bowl center Ryan Kelly, who will miss a 3rd straight game after the death of his infant daughter.
The news dropped the Colts' rushing offense SIC score down to 74.3, more than 12 points lower than the Cardinals' rushing defense score of 86.6.
Danny Pinter, Chris Reed, and Matt Pryor will step in to start in week 16 at center, left guard, and right guard, respectively, as they lead the way for the NFL's leading rusher Jonathan Taylor. The trio of replacements have started a combined 41 career stats, compared to 78 individual starts for Kelly, 59 for Nelson, and 72 for Glowinski.
After a tumultuous 1-4 start, Indianapolis is 6-2 and squarely in the 5th seed in the AFC, vaulting Jonathan Taylor and his 1518 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns to a fringe chance of winning MVP.
