Curtis Samuel To Be Activated For Week 4 Despite Groin Injury

Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera told reporters Friday that wide receiver Curtis Samuel will be activated off injured reserve to play against the Falcons. The question is whether the speedy wide receiver will be fully effective since groins limit speedy receivers more. This has been a recurring injury for Samuel and he could reaggravate the injury. In addition, he also spent time in the preseason on the COVID reserve list. Thus, he has really not practiced much at all with his new team. It's good to hear Samuel will be back, but we expect his production to be limited, as reflected in his lower SIC score for this Sunday. The 25-year-old had 851 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in 15 games with the Carolina Panthers last season.
