The Cowboys quarterback reportedly had a second ankle surgery that was reported to be not related to the initial injury but for more chronic issues. There was also one speculative report that there was a chance he would not return to play football. We remain confident that these are not significant setbacks, and that Prescott can and will play football this coming season. Of course, we cannot promise that he will be 100% after his ankle fracture dislocation but we believe that he can be mobile and effective. The report that said he potentially might not be able to play football game again seems unfounded. The report of a second surgery seems to us at least to be indirectly related to the first surgery but this does not indicate a significant setback. Of course, the key is the contract negotiation or franchise tagging of Prescott by the Cowboys, but we remain optimistic that he'll be ready to go in effective fashion from his ankle dislocation before the start of the 2021 season.
