The Cooper bowl between Cooper Kupp and Cooper Rush is on its way! The reigning super bowl champions face a hot Dallas Cowboys team.
Cowboys hopefuls thought the season might be over after both starting left tackle Tyron Smith and quarterback Dak Prescott were going to be out for multiple weeks. But the team has rallied off three straight wins and looks to continue their hot streak versus the Rams.
The Dallas Cowboys drafted CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft with the hopes of him becoming a star. After starting this season slowly, Lamb picked up the pace with a 97-yard receiving game last week. But Lamb came up on the injury report Thursday with a groin injury that could limit his effectiveness on Sunday.
Jourdan Lewis has been the slot corner for the Cowboys for the last two seasons and has remained relatively healthy. Last week he was ruled out of the team's second half with a groin injury that's been bothering him for a couple of weeks. This week he is questionable after logging two limited practices.
Backup guard Jason Peters suffered a chest injury in practice this week that will reportedly keep him out for a couple of weeks. He is listed as doubtful to play against the Rams.
The defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams, have gotten off to a rocky start this season but are still tied for the best record in the NFC West with two wins.
The offensive line of the Rams has been decimated over the last two weeks. Both centers, Brian Allen and Coleman Shelton, are out this week. But left guard David Edwards is returning this week after spending the team's Week 4 game in concussion protocol.
Another unit that has been dismayed by injuries is the team's secondary. Starting left cornerback David Long is questionable to play this week with a groin injury. Long was a limited participant in practice all week. Fellow cornerback Troy Hill is on IR with a more severe groin injury.
Then starting strong safety, Jordan Fuller was put on IR with a hamstring injury. In contrast, his backup, Taylor Rapp, is questionable this week with a rib injury. Rapp did not practice on Friday and is unlikely to play.
The Los Angeles Rams are favored by 5.5 points, and the over/under is 42.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
