Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Week 3 Injury Report

While the Eagles have jumped out to a 3-0 start in the NFC East, the Giants have a chance to match them with a win over Dallas.

Dallas Cowboys - SIC score 83

The Cowboys offense was surprisingly potent in the Week 2 win over the Bengals, the second start of Cooper Rush’s career. This week, their offensive line adds a veteran to the active roster in left tackle Jason Peters.

Peters was signed shortly after Tyron Smith went down with a torn hamstring. Rookie Tyler Smith has filled in admirably at left tackle and will likely remain there with Peters back.

The nine-time Pro Bowler will likely play a few snaps to get up to speed before they rely on him full-time.

Wideout Michael Gallup was active in practice ahead of Monday’s matchup, but reportedly will not play against the Giants. He is recovering from a January ACL tear and the Pro Football Docs do not expect him to look 100% until the second half of the season.

Dalton Schultz, who suffered a right knee PCL strain in Week 2, is reportedly a gametime decision. If he suits up, he will likely have limited effectiveness.

On defense, Dallas is down just strong safety Jayron Kearse, who suffered an MCL sprain Week 1. Donovan Wilson and Israel Mukuamu split time at strong safety in Week 2.

New York Giants - SIC score 85.5

The Giants are 2-0 for the first time in six years and their defense is a big reason why.

Right defensive end Leonard Williams will miss Monday’s matchup with an MCL sprain he suffered in Week 2, while rookie pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux is trending towards a return.

On the other end of the line, left defensive end Azeez Ojulari is questionable with a calf injury.

No. 2 cornerback Aaron Robinson will miss Week 3 after having his appendix removed.

New York is fairly healthy on offense, with Saquon Barkley looking spry in his second year back from an ACL tear.

Second-year wideout Kadarius Toney will miss the contest with a hamstring injury and Sterling Shepard is still making his way back from his Achilles tendon tear last season, but has outperformed expectations.

Cowboys vs. Giants Week 3 Odds

The Giants are favored by 1.5 points at home and the over/under is 39.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

New York is +700 to win the NFC East, while the Cowboys are +650.
