Based on video analysis of his new left shoulder injury and previous right SC joint injury, it has been our impression that Cook could play and be effective versus the Packers on Monday. Why would the Vikings consider shutting him down? Minnesota is essentially locked into the six seed and the Vikings can't win most tiebreaker scenarios for the fifth seed, thus their chances to travel to Dallas or Philadelphia are slim. Although we feel Cook could play and be effective, certainly there is a chance of reaggravation and this along with playoff positions seem to be driving decision to sit him out against the Packers.
