The Chiefs running back exited the Mexico Monday night game with a rib issue. Williams by video has a tear in his rib cartilage. His x-rays were likely negative and he did not return to the game. Rib cartilage injuries are more painful than rib fractures. The Chiefs do have a bye this week which will allow him more time to recover. Recent comparisons are Julian Edelman who is playing with a presumed weekly injection and Emmanuel Sanders who has a similar injury. Sanders has been trying to play through his rib injury with limited results.
