Daniel Jones Ruled Out With Neck Injury, Mike Glennon To Start Versus Dolphins

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was not cleared for contact and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins as he recovers from a neck strain. We expect a short-term absence for the third-year quarterback who is suddenly in the middle of a playoff race, as the 4-7 Giants fight for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. Jones injured his neck early in the Week 12 win over the Eagles on a scramble when his neck was torqued on an awkward tackle. He was able to finish the game. Mike Glennon will start in his place in Miami against the 5-7 Dolphins. Jones has thrown for 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, while adding 62 rushes for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Giants. New York has struggled with injuries across the offense, notably to Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, and Kenny Golladay.
