The Vikings budding edge rusher is going to miss more time. He hasn’t played this year and was declared out for this week’s game. At this point, the feeling is he's going to miss many more weeks and even risks missing the season. Hunter reportedly has a disc herniation and in his neck and the effect is on the issue. Reports are that he is in New York for a second opinion. If conservative care hasn’t helped: medication, rest, and maybe even injections surgery is on the table. If indeed he has a cervical discectomy and fusion that would mean a minimum three to four months out, which effectively ends his season.
