The Minnesota Vikings never made any injury announcements on Hunter other than using the word "tweak" and they aren't required to by rule. With official injury reporting rules underway, he has been placed on injured reserve for what seems to be a soft tissue muscle acclimation injury in his neck. The only good news is with the new rules involving injured reserve, Hunter may only miss a minimum of three games. Hunter is a huge part of the Vikings pass rush, and has totaled 54.5 sacks in the past five years. With Everson Griffen no longer in the picture, the pressure will be on for new acquisition Yannick Ngakoue to make an early impact.
