The Chiefs admit it will be hard for Williams to play this week but they are sticking with the hamstring diagnosis. The injury is on the left side not the right as announced on the television broadcast. This is still good news based on what it could have been when his left foot got stuck in the field. As we discussed by video, there was concern for ligament damage. I still believe that the hamstring injury they're talking about is a distal hamstring injury which is part of the posterolateral corner that involves the lateral collateral ligament. The news seems to be good as he has not been placed on injured reserve and has a chance to return. However, this is not a typical hamstring issue and I would anticipate a multi-week absence.
