Raiders tight end Darren Waller missed practice Thursday and is in danger of missing his fourth straight game this Sunday against the Broncos.
Waller has not practiced since he last played Week 12. The 29-year-old has been listed with knee/back injuries in every injury report since then.
At this point, it remains unclear when he will return to practice or game action.
Originally, he was reportedly dealing with an IT band strain, which Dr. David Chao, ProFootballDoc, said is not typically severe enough to keep a player out multiple games.
Unfortunately for Waller fantasy owners the wait continues without much additional information. We’re in the business of providing insider information based on what we can decipher, but in this case it would be pure speculation.
If the Raiders tight end cannot suit up for the big divisional game against Denver, we don't expect him to be able to play the rest of the regular season.
Backup tight end Foster Moreau would continue to see action if Waller is unavailable Sunday. Moreau had a career-high 7 catches for 65 yards in the win Monday against the Browns.
The 24-year-old former LSU tight end was limited Wednesday with an abdomen issue he dealt with last week in practice as well.
