Reports seem to indicate optimism toward Davante Adams playing Sunday. He was present at the start of practice for the stretching portion and apparently tried out several pairs of shoes. Head coach Matt LaFleur said today Adams is a potential game time decision. Certainly Adams is trending in the right direction, but I still do not believe he will play until November. This has been my position for several weeks and the Adams sighting at the beginning of practice does not change these feelings. First off, he did not practice and was listed a DNP. Second, we have talked about the importance of the great toe in push off and cutting for a wide receiver.I don't see how he can be effective this Sunday. It is a positive development that he joined practice but until he can fully practice and prove he can cut, I do not believe he will play yet.
