Indeed the Packers wide receiver confirmed a turf toe injury which essentially is a sprain of the main joint of the big toe. Severe cases involve tearing of the plantar plate and surgery but I do not think that is the case here. However, based on video,I would still expect a multi-week absence. How long won't be known by the team until this mornings injury check, as overnight swelling and what the MRI findings need to be considered. The great toe is responsible for half of one's push off strength and thus this a significant injury for any player, especially a wide receiver. It was disappointing enough that Adams missed 1st and goal as well on the final drive in a one score game, now he is destined to miss more games. Certainly Aaron Rodgers (422 yards) and Adams with a career high 180 yards were able to feast as predicted on a battered Eagles secondary that came into the game with a league low Injury Index pass defense grade of a "D".
