David Montgomery Still Favoring Knee in Video From Practice, Likely to Miss MNF Against Steelers

Bears starting running back David Montgomery appears likely to miss his fifth consecutive game this Monday night vs the Steelers.

Montgomery was designated to return from IR and ran some individual drills on Thursday, but based on video, he was still favoring his left knee and, while getting closer, is not quite ready to return.

Our expectation is that he will miss this Monday's contest against the Steelers, but will return Week 11 after the Bears bye.

Rookie Khalil Herbert has rushed for 344 yards and one touchdown in Montgomery's absence and figures to still be involved in the offense even after his return.

The Bears (3-5) are +6.5 underdogs on the road in Pittsburgh on Monday night, with the over/under set at 40, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
