David Njoku suffered a right wrist fracture on the same play he was concussed. He was placed on injured reserve, and now comes word that he will not have surgery. This decision does not speed up recovery. It can have the opposite effect, as a scaphoid fracture surgery could get him out of the cast sooner. What this does tell us is that it was a non displaced scaphoid fracture. It is still reasonable to assume he returns late this season. Lesson here, surgery isn’t always bad. Njoku however chose against it.
