Cardinals star receiver DeAndre Hopkins left the Thursday night game with a hamstring injury after appearing to reaggravate the injury on his first catch of the game. By video, Hopkins ran full speed on a deep throw from Kyler Murray in the first quarter, but grabbed at his right hamstring after making the catch and running through the end zone. The touchdown was negated on an offensive facemask penalty. Hopkins missed practice all week after playing the entire game in the 31-5 win last Sunday over the Texans. His SIC score was 47 heading into the game because we knew he had a high chance of reaggravation. He has been deemed questionable to return, but even if he comes back he will be at much less than 50%. The Cardinals play the 49ers in Week 9 and it remains to be seen if he will be healthy enough to face the division rival.
Update
Hopkins returned to the game with just under 8 minutes left in the third quarter. He caught an 11-yard pass on his second snap and looked to be moving decently well.
