Denver's defense has hung in there despite being severely hampered all season, but they are perhaps at their thinnest this year heading into Atlanta Week 9. On the front seven they are down Jurrell Casey, Mike Purcell, Mark Barron, Derek Tuszka, Justin Strnad and of course Von Miller who is still on Injured Reserve. Miller is several weeks away from a return, and this week they will be without Shelby Harris after a COVID-19 positive test. In the secondary, they will miss A.J. Bouye after he was concussed by friendly fire on a stop by Kareem Jackson Week 8, and Bryce Callahan who is questionable with an ankle injury. This leaves the Broncos potentially without 5-6 starters on the defensive side of the ball, with three depth players out as well. Atlanta is a high volume offense, with a weak defense to boot, this game has serious shootout potential.
