Garett Bolles, the Broncos starting left tackle, left the Week 8 game in the fourth quarter with a left ankle injury. By video, Bolles was engaged in a block when his left leg was rolled up on by a Washington defender. Bolles walked off under his own power, then walked to the locker room. We have significant worry for a high ankle sprain and we don't expect him to return today. Depending on the severity, Bolles could miss next week against the Cowboys. Calvin Anderson will take over at left tackle.
Update
After the game, Bolles left the locker room with crutches and a boot on his left ankle. He is looking at a multi-week absence, but the Broncos get a bye Week 11 so he has a chance to avoid an IR stint.
