After suffering a significant groin strain on TNF, reports now say that the return timeline is 10 to 14 days, with sights set on the Week 16 matchup against the Dolphins 10 days from the injury. We are not questioning Derek Carr's toughness but we don't see how Carr plays against the Miami in Week 16 and have a feeling he could be out Week 17 against the Broncos as well. First off, it is hard to play quarterback with a groin injury. Even dropping back from center is difficult, not to mention the act of opening up to throw the ball. The only way to avoid this would be to have Carr playing an entire game from the shotgun, but that seems unlikely. Besides, they have Marcus Mariota and Derek Carr's injury was so significant that he could not stay dressed in uniform for the second half of the game, and was in street clothes on the sidelines when the Raiders had no other quarterback besides Mariota. Although recent reports say otherwise, we lean towards Carr missing the remainder of the season.
