The Redskins’ running back had surgery on his "healthy" left knee which isn't the knee in which he tore his ACL last year. Reports were of a repair and a recovery time of six to eight weeks. I believe he had the meniscus trimmed as a true "repair" with suturing of the meniscus which would include a longer timeline of 3 plus months ala Adrian Peterson in 2016. Detailed in yesterday's subscriber update below, I still expect an extended absence for Guice and a likely trip to the IR. Given his left ACL knee did not appear to be 100%, he does not have a good leg to rely on. With his extended absence entering into potential IR/Designated to return territory, this might be the best thing for Guice to get both knees fully healthy and finally make a strong NFL debut.
