After a lackluster 10 carries for 18 yards while Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson was a healthy scratch, Guice now reportedly has a new injury. He hurt his right knee Sunday and is having tests including a MRI. He tore his left knee ACL last preseason and then had several more surgeries to clean out an infection. This delayed his return even though with the early preseason injury he had a full year. Despite the fact it seemed to me that Guice was less than 100% as we analyzed his preseason runs, the Redskins seemed to have a lot of confidence in him. Without definitive video, Guice is hoping for a meniscus "sprain" but technically that injury doesn't even exist. If meniscus tear, a scope is coming. Even if not, I don't see how Guice can be effective now that both knees are less than 100%. I can't tell without definitive video if this is an injury that occurs from compensating for the left knee but either way, it may be in the team and Guice's best interest to take a break and give AP the ball for the next few weeks.
