Eagles fans were disappointed with last night's result and the fact that Jackson could not play in the NFC east showdown versus the Cowboys. There may be more disappointment in store. Head coach Doug Pedersen said that he expects Jackson to continue to deal with the issue for the rest of the season and that he would not practice early this week. This fits the profile of a core muscle injury as we have been discussing here for a while. In hindsight, perhaps Jackson should have considered surgery for his abdomen / groin issue as that typically carries a six week timeline. This week marks six weeks and he is still no guaranteed to play against the Bills.  Do not be surprised if the Eagles reverse course and Jackson ends up getting surgery. It’s better to cut the losses and ensure for him to be ready later this season, or next season if the team doesn’t get it turned around.
