The Eagles continue to stay positive in light of negative news. DeSean Jackson has been out with a groin / abdomen issue since week 2 and played just a few snaps in the opening series in week 9 before exiting for "precautionary reasons". The Eagles remain hopeful that with the bye next week, he should be able to play versus the Patriots in week 11. It does not seem that there was a setback Sunday, but Jackson clearly felt something to necessitate coming out of the game early. Let's hope the Eagles are right in that they can get their wide receiver back and healthy before their game in two weeks. At this point, the team / player seem in poker terms "pot committed" and continue to push their hand even though the odds seem stacked against them. The fact that he has had seven weeks of rest and there are still symptoms leads me to believe that it is far from guaranteed that two weeks will make a difference.
