The Eagles wide receiver had core muscle repair surgery today and was placed on injured reserve. Core muscle repair surgery comes with a four to six week recovery timeline but that usually doesn't hold for player that relies on quick motions like Jackson. His expected timeline would be a minimum of six to eight weeks and potentially longer to get to 100%. Thats why the move to injured reserve does make sense. This essentially signals the end of his season unless there is a playoff return. It does not signal the end of his career although he will be a thirty-three-year-old small, speedy wide receiver. Typically core muscle injuries can end seasons but do not do not end careers.
