Eagles’ speedy wide receiver was held out of Sunday night’s game as questionable with a groin injury. Now, he has been declared out for two weeks with an abdominal strain. In fact, Tim McManus of ESPN reported that one doctor recommended surgery. If you put all of this together, Jackson is dealing with a sports hernia or a core muscle injury. This can affect the abdominal muscles where it meets the groin near the pubis symphysis. If indeed surgery is elected, it would take him out for at least six weeks. At this point, Jackson is choosing to deal with it. This is something to watch as it could linger. Don't be shocked if surgery is ultimately decided.
