Out for season with glenoid fracture in right shoulder suffered during W10 win over Ravens - by video, injured by hit from Patrick Queen in 2nd quarter prior to his high ankle sprain - chip fracture to back of the shoulder that could get worse with another hit, thus surgery is the best option.
Our panel of docs do not believe the Browns’ medical staff missed this fracture with Watson’s previous shoulder injury in Week 3.
That injury was a subscapular contusion caused by a fall, rather than from a direct impact.
There's still an outside chance at Watson returning for a playoff start if the Browns can make it. If he had an anterior glenoid fracture that wouldn't be possible, but this chip fracture keeps a small possibility open.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start in Week 11 against the Steelers. P.J. Walker started 2 games with Watson out and has played in 5 games total this season.
Watson finishes the regular season with 1,115 yards 7 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 6 games.
Walker and Thompson-Robinson have combined for 748 yards, 1 touchdown and 8 interceptions.
