A report came out that Broncos backup corner was "paralyzed and couldn't move" for 30 minutes after his neck injury. It has been described by the team as a compression injury and a cervical strain but clearly there was some spinal cord involvement. The great news is that it ended quickly. Any paralysis that lingers can often become permanent. There is a phenomenon called spinal cord concussion where a person may lose temporary ability to move but regain it quickly. The key now is to determine why this happened to Bausby and if he is at further risk of a recurrent injury. Ofcourse he is going to miss time and may in fact miss the season if not longer. No one wants to risk paralysis as it can become permanent. I believe the best case scenario is that he returns in multiple weeks but with injuries. First thing to worry about is his health and then we can worry about him returning to the field. If he is at risk for permanent damage he would have already been ruled out.
