Diamondbacks' versatile all-star Ketel Marte will miss his second consecutive game on Friday with a left hamstring strain.
Ketel Marte Injury Update
Marte is day-to-day and is not expected to need a trip to the IL, according to manager Torey Lovullo, but there is no clear indication when he will return to the lineup.
Marte left Wednesday's contest after suffering the injury running the bases in the eighth inning. He will undergo an MRI on Friday.
The 28-year-old missed 64 games over two separate stints on the 10-day IL last season with left hamstring strains.
Marte is slashing .269/.341/.435 with four home runs, 33 runs and 22 RBI and is tied for second in MLB with 23 doubles.
