DJ Reader Injury: Bengals DT Hits IR With Knee Sprain

Cincinnati Bengals left defensive tackle D.J. Reader was placed on IR Thursday with a left knee injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Jets.

By video, Reader appeared to suffer a severe MCL sprain, and possible bone bruise, when he was rolled up on during a rush.

The injury will keep him out at least four weeks and he likely won't be 100% until around Week 9.

The seventh-year defender has 10 combined tackles and a fumble recovery in three games this season. He had 43 combined tackles and 2 sacks in 15 games last season.

Josh Tupou will likely fill in at left defensive tackle.
