The former Rams defensive lineman has signed a big new three year 30 million dollar contract with the Ravens. His season ended with a significant high ankle sprain and that was thought to give concern to his free agent status and although he did suffer a significant high ankle sprain reports were that he did not need surgery as there was no associated fracture. Even with the limitation in physicals now, one can rely on a local physician exam and even perform a social distancing telemedicine / FaceTime style. This should provide enough on Brockers status but there is no question that these limitations on team physician physicals can impact free agency. It is not an insurmountable problem as demonstrated in this case and we do not believe his ankle will be an issue for the Ravens. There have been reports from Ian Rapoport that the Ravens have not been able to properly assess the ankle sprain because of the limitations we discussed above. Nothing is certain as far as high ankle sprains go but they do routinely heal and the Ravens will likely hold onto their free agent acquisition.
