Drew Brees did not play in the second half after an apparent rib issue. Sean Payton said Brees will get an MRI tomorrow and also noted Brees told him he wasn’t capable of playing the rest of the way. We will wait for the MRI results and update our stance if need be. Brees said “I’m doing everything I can to be affective next week.” He did also elaborate that more than one rib may be effected. We expect Brees to be limited in practice but his status is up in the air.
