Given that rib fractures and lung injuries heal reliably it has been our opinion for a while that Brees would medically be okay to play and given his future Hall of Fame status there shouldn't be much rust. Once head coach Sean Payton indicated it was a matter of how he did in practice and we were confident that he would be the starter versus the Chiefs this weekend. This has now been confirmed to be the case and this becomes a great matchup of the top quarterbacks in the league.
