The Saints quarterback had surgery in Los Angeles today. We expect a six week timeline for his return with good production in the second half of the season. There is no official update from the team on his recovery timeline, however the Saints did indicate that Drew Brees would not be placed on injured reserve. If placed on injury reserve, it would carry a minimum of eight games missed. Brees remaining on the active roster reinforces the six week expected timeline for recovery.
