Pre game and during the Sunday night football game, Drew Brees was showing off the progress of his thumb surgery. He was doing some limited drills, although not throwing or holding a football, he did shake some hands. Brees demonstrated significant range of motion to the thumb by flexing, extending and even stressing the thumb himself. This shows excellent progress from his week two injury. He’s on track for the six week recovery timeline that we projected when the injury happened. A return in week eight is becoming the universal expectation. I expect him to be at 100% once he returns, as I said back in week two.
